CV guide

Make the relevant evidence easy to see.

A strong CV is not a complete autobiography. It is a clear argument that your recent experience, skills and results fit the vacancy in front of you.

01

Use the first screen well

  • Name and reliable contact details.
  • Target role or short professional headline.
  • Two or three lines summarising relevant experience and strengths.
  • Key skills that are supported by evidence elsewhere in the CV.
02

Turn duties into evidence

Begin with a strong action, describe the work and add a useful result. For example: reduced order errors by improving the stock-check process, or supported 40 customer enquiries per day while meeting response targets.

03

Tailor without rewriting everything

Keep a reliable master CV, then adjust the summary, skills order and most relevant examples for each role. Mirror accurate industry terms, but never copy requirements you cannot demonstrate.

04

Final CV check

  • Dates and job titles are consistent.
  • Spelling, phone number and email are correct.
  • Links open without requiring access permission.
  • File name is professional and easy to identify.
  • Sensitive identity or banking information is not included.
